More than 100 police officers have been involved in an Operation Guardian high impact day in Daventry this morning.

The officers executed 15 warrants at the same time at separate addresses, mainly in Daventry, but a small number of
arrests took place in Rugby and Bedford, arresting 15 people.

The day of action follows a long-term operation and officers believe these arrests will have a significant impact on crime
in the town.

Superintendent Pete Windridge, said: “We executed 15 warrants under the Theft Act early this morning as a result of which
15 people are currently in custody at Campbell Square Police Station in Northampton.

“These arrests are the result of the culmination of a lengthy investigation by officers tackling crime in the Daventry area and
we hope people living in the town will see the benefit of these arrests.”

The people arrested will be interviewed through the course of the day.
