Within the next few months, electors in Northampton will be asked to vote for candidates standing for a seat in Parliament at the elections in Northampton North or Northampton South.

Although no date has been set a General Election has to be held by mid June.

If you are interested in standing as a candidate in either constituency at the forthcoming General Election, contact the Electoral Services Team at Northampton Borough Council as meetings will be held shortly in order to give further information and guidance to prospective candidates.

If you are interested, contact Electoral Services:

01604 837111

elecreg@northampton.gov.uk.

Alternatively you can visit the Electoral Commission website at www.electoralcommission.org.uk

Will we get expenses

Why not register Northantsonline as a political party, just need to think of a catchy name.

How about The NO Party?

I can see it on leaflets now.

Vote for NO  :giggle:

I've had a look at setting up a political party (after your suggestion) and it isn't quite as straight forward as you would think.

As for the name, who would vote for NO Party, everyone likes to party
