300,000 Apple iPad's sold on first day

Apple says it sold more than 300,000 of its latest product, the iPad tablet computer, on its launch day in the US.

The figures for Saturday included pre-orders of the device, as well as sales at Apple stores across the country.

Apple said that iPad users had downloaded more than one million applications from its app store and
more than 250,000 electronic books.

Decent enough stats, but I've read that people have been experiencing problems getting on-line.

I thnk waiting for the 2nd generation iPad is a better option as the spec will be better and the gremlins chased off.

Yup, I've never been an early adoptor of technology. I tend to be 2 or 3 years behind.
