Daventry Light Night

Daventry is set to light up the skies as the popular European phenomenon of Light Night comes to
the town centre on 26th and 27th March 2010, with two evenings packed full of  free late-night cultural entertainment.

The highlight of the weekend will be the spectacular outdoor interactive light show on Market Square where
people and light interact as if by magic.

A stage in High Street will present live music and performances from 6pm,.  Other entertainment, including light
trails, fire juggling and street performances will be on offer throughout the town centre, with bars and restaurants
contributing their own live entertainment.

On Friday evening there will be a Soundbox event in the ‘Spider Park’ on the Headlands specifically organised by
and for young people in the town

Daventry Town Museum and the Library will also be open late allowing visitors to discover the towns history, artefacts
and other treasures.

The whole event will conclude with a stunning light display in Market Square at 22:45. on Saturday 27th March 2010

 Light Night is organised by Daventry Town Centre Partnership, and is based on the concept of ‘Nuit Blanche' in Paris. 
The aim of the event is to open cultural and other venues late into the evening, to present unusual and unexpected events
and to turn the whole town centre into an open space celebrating the culture of the town.
