If getting cold whilst skating on ice isn't for you, then come to the Roller Skating Event at Danes Camp Leisure Centre on Saturday, January 16 - plus it's completely free of charge.
Eight to eleven year olds can come along between 3.30pm and 5pm and twelve to sixteen year olds can have a 'wheelie good' time between 5.30pm and 7pm.
Skating will be on a first come first served basis and skates are provided. Approximately 60 places are available during each session.
Staff from Northampton Borough Council's Sports and Play Development Team and Trilogy Heath and Fitness have teamed together with members of Sport 4 Youth to bring the children of Northampton these two sessions of roller skating fun. Young people from Sport 4 Youth applied for money to fund the event from Money 4 Youth grant funding, enabling it to go ahead with no charge.
At the moment it is the only event confirmed but it is hoped the sessions will become a regular feature on a rotation basis at Danes Camp and Lings Forum centres at a cost of only £3.50 including skates. For more information contact the Sports and Play Development Team on 01604 837704 or on
