Northampton Castle used to stand where the train station now is. There was a tunnel from there to
All Saints Church. This tunnel, some historians claim, may have been used by Thomas Becket to
escape from the castle and the town on his way to France.

The Market Square has 3 tunnels, two of which lead to the Holy Sepulchre.

What else goes through a railway station then?

As for the tunnels I remember (vaguely) a huge hole appeared in the middle of a road. I think it was in Upper or Lower Mounts.

I guess it's mainly my aversion to the Americanisation of England...

Even my spell checker says that "Americanisation" should have a "ZEE" in it.  :duh:
