The course lasts 8 weeks and costs £80, which includes the provision of a fencing glove, which you keep.
This course will provide you with a short introduction to foil fencing. You will be in a small group of usually no more than 12, which at times will be further broken down into pairs supported by coaches and/or club leaders who will provide more personal support and guidance to help you develop your fencing skills.
You do not need to know anything about fencing, simply an interest in trying the sport. Fencing kit (masks, jackets, foils) are provided will be provided for the sessions.
What's next - at the end of the course?
1. You can join Northampton Fencing Club and take advantage of group and individual coaching.
2. If you join the club, you will be required to join British Fencing, this provides you with insurance cover (details can be obtained from the club treasurer).
3. If you wish to develop your foil skills there is a grading scheme available.
